Symbolic ground-breaking at the third site in Karlsruhe

On 3 April, the ground-breaking ceremony took place for the new Carl Roth building on the 25,000 m² plot recently acquired from the city. The new building will significantly increase Carl Roth’s space for logistics, production and administration, creating a basis for further development in the future. Carl Roth now has three sites in Karlsruhe measuring approx. 45,000 m².

The ground floor of the new building will contain, among other things, a 660 m², automatic small parts warehouse from which goods will be shipped across Germany and to more than 100 countries around the world. Carl Roth will use the remaining space to house a pallet warehouse, various production areas and sophisticated IT-assisted logistics infrastructure. The top floor will comprise around 700 m² of office space with washrooms and changing facilities, as well as a common room.

It was not difficult to decide on Karlsruhe for the new site:

the company has 140 yeas of shared history with the city. In the middle of 2020, our employees will be able to take up jobs at modern, state-of-the art workstations in an energy-saving building with striking architecture. We are very excited about taking this step into the future together. For us, progress means being there for our customers and offering a service that always meets their needs.
